Administration
Administration released the following feature in September 2025.
Flexera One now ingests AWS China billing data
This feature is available with Administration.
Flexera One now ingests Amazon Web Services (AWS) China billing data, providing flexibility to customers operating in the China region to monitor their cloud spend alongside global AWS regions. With this feature, you now have transparency and comprehensive cost visibility into AWS China cloud spend.

Cloud Commitment Management
Cloud Commitment Management released the following feature in September 2025.
Introducing Cloud Commitment Management in Flexera One
This feature is available with Cloud Commitment Management.
Spot Eco transitioned to Flexera One as Cloud Commitment Management, bringing enhanced automation for reserved instances, savings plans, and committed used discounts to FinOps users. The update delivers a refreshed dashboard, improved reporting, and smarter savings actions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. You benefit from unified insights, greater efficiency, and a scalable foundation for future cloud and software spend management-all within the Flexera One platform.

Cloud Cost Optimization
Cloud Cost Optimization released the following features and enhancements in September 2025.
Budget and forecast user experience improvements
This enhancement is available with Cloud Cost Optimization.
Flexera One customers who use the Cost Planning capability will now notice a number of subtle improvements related to budget and forecast:
- The graphs on the dashboard (Cloud > Cost Optimization > Cost Planning) that show current monthly spend and current cumulative spend can now be expanded by clicking the Expand button located in the upper-right corner of the graphs. This enhancement makes it easier to view the graphs in detail.
- The horizontal scroll bars have been added on both the cumulative spend and current monthly spend graphs for improved visibility.
- The actual spend for the current month and future months is no longer displayed on the graphs. This enhancement helps avoid any confusion related to spend representation.

CSV file upload available for budget and forecast
This feature is available with Cloud Cost Optimization.
Flexera One users can track their actual cloud spend against a cloud budget and forecast with Cloud Cost Optimization’s Cost Planning capability (Cloud > Cost Optimization > Cost Planning). With this feature, they can now upload budget and forecast data using a CSV file, enabling organizations to save time and reduce inaccuracies.
Previously, users had to enter this data manually, which was both time-consuming and prone to human error.

Centralized Savings Plans and Reservations visibility now available for Azure CSP MCA
This feature is available with Cloud Cost Optimization and Partner Service Layer.
Flexera One now provides centralized visibility for Microsoft Azure Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Modern Commerce Agreement (MCA) Savings Plans and Reservations. FinOps teams can access and manage critical savings plans data including cost, utilization percentage, and expiration dates directly on the Savings Plans page (Cloud > Commitments > Savings Plans) and reservations data on the Reserved Instances page (Cloud > Commitments > Reserved Instances). These pages provide a consolidated view of the Azure MCA CSP savings plans and reservations for the selected organization for a 30-day rolling window.
By centralizing this data, FinOps teams no longer have to rely on external cloud provider consoles, reducing dependency on external tools. With access to comprehensive data, teams can make more informed, timely decisions, leading to better cost optimization strategies. The real-time visibility into key metrics, empowers them to manage cloud spending efficiently, avoid unnecessary costs, and maximize savings.
Previously, the FinOps teams had to switch between multiple cloud provider consoles to access this data which was time-consuming.

New dimensions and metrics available within Cloud Billing Integration (CBI)
This feature is available with Cloud Cost Optimization.
Flexera One now supports several new dimensions and metrics as per the FOCUS 1.1 and 1.2 standard, designed to enhance financial reporting, improve pricing transparency, and allow for a deeper analysis and understanding of billing and cost structures. These additions allow customers to make more informed decisions and streamline operational workflows.
The following dimensions have been added to support more granular segmentation and filtering of financial data:
- ChargeClass
- InvoiceID
- PricingCategory
- PricingCurrency
The following metric has been added to allow for improved visibility into pricing and cost dynamics:
- EffectiveCost
With the new dimensions and metrics, customers can get a clearer view of actual versus contracted pricing and costs, as well as link charges directly to invoices and account structures for better traceability.

Cloud License Management
Cloud License Management released the following features in September 2025.
Advanced SQL Server licensing optimization
This enhancement is available with Cloud License Management.
Flexera One now offers granular visibility and intelligent optimization for SQL Server licensing across AWS and Azure. Customers can easily track total, consumed, and available entitlements by edition, monitor BYOL and PAYG usage, and view license transfers and conversions in real time.
Smarter license allocation
- Usage-driven optimization: Automatically reallocates BYOL licenses based on workload patterns.
- Dynamic movement: Ensures licenses are always positioned for maximum value.
- Real-time adjustments: Responds instantly to changing demand across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Customers can easily track total, consumed, and available licenses by edition, monitor BYOL and PAYG usage, and view usage trends over time.

Optimize SQL Server licensing with AWS RDS BYOL support in CLM
This enhancement is available with Cloud License Management.
Cloud License Management (CLM) now provides comprehensive support for AWS SQL Server RDS Bring Your Own License (BYOL) deployments. This capability enables organizations to seamlessly integrate BYOL RDS instances into their broader license optimization and compliance strategy.
BYOL resource discovery and tracking
CLM automatically identifies and tracks BYOL RDS SQL Server resources deployed across your AWS environment over time. This delivers comprehensive visibility into your BYOL footprint and enables centralized management of these instances.
BYOL usage visibility and compliance
CLM delivers deep insights into how BYOL licenses are utilized across your cloud infrastructure through detailed reporting, including:
- Active BYOL RDS instances over time
- License assignment and allocation based on usage pattern
In addition, CLM continuously evaluates license eligibility and compliance requirements based on actual usage. CLM assigns BYOL entitlements to AWS RDS SQL Server resources configured for the BYOL model, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient assignment of BYOL license entitlements.
Flexera One SaaS Management
Flexera One SaaS Management released the following features and enhancements in September 2025.
Consumption-based metrics for ServiceNow
This enhancement is available with Flexera One SaaS Management.
Consumption-based metrics are now available for ServiceNow subscriptions. This capability was previously introduced for Salesforce.
These metrics provide you with better visibility into your subscription consumption and allowance information, empowering informed decisions for upcoming subscription renewals based on consumed and remaining units.
Device usage for Microsoft 365
This enhancement is available with Flexera One SaaS Management.
Flexera One SaaS Management now includes Device usage data for Microsoft 365. On the Microsoft 365 subscription family page and on the Insights tab for individual subscriptions, the Device usage column shows how users in your organization have accessed Microsoft 365 applications over the last 90 days. The possible values are Browser, Mobile, and Desktop.
You can use this information to better understand usage patterns in your organization and make informed licensing decisions across your Microsoft 365 estate.
Device usage data is currently available for the following applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.
New connector for Lucidchart
This feature is available with Flexera One SaaS Management.
The Lucidchart connector is now available to help you gain visibility on users. Due to limitations with Lucidchart’s API data, user accounts retrieved by the connector vary: only licensed users are retrieved for Enterprise plans, and all organizational users for Team plans. For more information, see Data retrieved.
Use verification in the ServiceNow family view
This enhancement is available with Flexera One SaaS Management.
The ServiceNow family view now includes a Use verification tab that provides a consolidated view of how ServiceNow subscriptions are being used across your organization. This added visibility helps you manage ServiceNow licensing more effectively, control costs, and make data-driven decisions. You can use the Use verification tab to:
- Track actual usage against your subscription entitlements to ensure licensing compliance
- Identify unused entitlements to guide decisions on renewals or expansions
- Optimize resource allocation to reduce your overall spend This enhancement is currently available in beta.
IT Visibility
IT Visibility released the following features and enhancements in September 2025.
API endpoints added to Private Catalog
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility.
New public API endpoints have been released for Private Catalog.
As a result, customers no longer have to rely solely on the UI for managing Private Catalog Releases and Private Catalog Evidence in Applications & Evidence > IT Visibility Software.
With the newly released API endpoints, customers can create releases, map evidences to releases and more, using any tool that supports REST API calls like Postman, or even a simple CURL script.
Tasks that can be performed using these APIs are:
- Creating a private catalog release
- Updating private catalog release details
- Deleting a private catalog release
- Mapping software evidence to a release
- Re-pairing software evidence
- Listing all releases created
- Fetching release details that match a Release ID or other filtering criteria
These API endpoints will allow customers to automate release creation and evidence mapping. They will enable faster execution and simplify the compliance and troubleshooting needs with every API call being logged.
Previously, using the UI was more laborious and error-prone when handling a large number of releases and mapping, and could not be scaled for large-scale or repeatable tasks.

Changes to the IT Visibility Connections page
This change affects customers with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
Flexera One IT Visibility customers who make use of the Flexera One-ServiceNow integration to import their organization’s ServiceNow data into Flexera One will notice the IT Visibility Connections page (IT Visibility > Connections) has been streamlined.
Streamlined Connections Page
When arriving on the Connections page, the page shows the ServiceNow Site Server address and the Flexera One user who configured the connection (Connected By). You can click the edit icon to make changes to the existing connection settings.
Flexera One-ServiceNow Integration Connection Status
With these changes, the IT Visibility Connections page does not show the connection status. Information about the connection status is available in ServiceNow. Information about imports to Flexera One from ServiceNow (and other external inventory sources) is available in Flexera One.
- To check on the connection status for data being exported from Flexera One and imported into ServiceNow, use the Connection page in the Flexera One ServiceNow App. (See the Setting Up the Import Connection page in the Flexera One ServiceNow App help library for more information.)
- To check on the connection status for data being imported to Flexera One from your organization’s ServiceNow instance, use the All Imports tab on Flexera One’s External Inventory Connections page. In Flexera One, click Data Collection > External Inventory Connections. Then click the All Imports tab. (See the Managing External Inventory Connections page in the Flexera One help library for more information about external inventory connections.)
The IT Visibility connection is only required for customers who want to export data from their ServiceNow instance and import it into Flexera One. Customers who are only importing their Flexera One data into their ServiceNow instance do not need to create the IT Visibility connection on the Flexera One side.
Hyper-V inventory ingestion into Technology Intelligence Platform
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
IT Visibility with Technology Intelligence Platform now supports ingestion and normalization of Microsoft Hyper-V VM and host data collected by Flexera Inventory (via ndtrack). Users can now bring their Hyper-V data into IT Visibility for reporting and analytics.
This enhancement ensures seamless integration of Hyper-V data, providing a unified view of your virtual infrastructure within Flexera One.

Improved visibility of Windows OS vulnerabilities
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
IT Visibility with Technology Intelligence Platform has been enhanced to provide deeper insights into Windows OS updates and associated vulnerabilities.
With this update, the system now uses detailed up-to-date OS and patch information, such as installed and missing KB articles for Windows, to calculate vulnerability exposure. Users now benefit from more accurate vulnerability assessments based on the actual update status of each device.
This enhancement reduces false positives and enables more effective prioritization of security efforts.

New Carbon Emissions Insights in Business Service Insight Report
The Business Service Insight Report now displays powerful new sustainability metrics:
Manufacturer-Provided Scope Emissions: Now includes Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions data sourced directly from manufacturers, offering a clearer view of environmental impact across your IT assets.
Carbon Footprint by Top 10 Business Services: Displays emissions data across the top 10 business services, helping you identify which services contribute most to your carbon footprint and prioritize sustainability efforts accordingly.
These enhancements support better environmental accountability and help align IT operations with corporate sustainability goals.

New Cloud datasets available via the GraphQL API
This feature is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
Expanding the inventory data available in GraphQL, we have added Cloud Assets and Cloud Virtual Instances datasets you can query with the GraphQL API with Cloud Assets being the primary cloud asset datasource and Cloud Virtual Instances being linked with a unique identifier to the Cloud Assets parent. These new datasets leverage the FOCUS standard (FinOps Open Cost and Usage Specification)—an open specification from the FinOps Foundation for producing consistent cost and usage estimates.

New grouping for external inventory connections
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
To improve clarity and make it easier to manage your data sources, the Connections tab on the External Inventory Connections page (Data Collection > Common Inventory Tasks > External Inventory Connections) has been reorganized into two groups: Cloud Connections and 3rd Party Inventory.
- The Cloud Connections tab lists connections to public cloud platforms, such as AWS.
- The 3rd Party Inventory tab lists connections for external inventory and management platforms, such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Tanium, Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, and others.
This change helps you quickly identify and manage your cloud and third-party inventory sources separately, streamlining your connection management experience.

New Jira Service Management Connections page
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility. If you would like this feature enabled, contact Flexera Support. For more information, see Contacting Flexera Support.
The new Jira Service Management Connections page (IT Visibility > Jira Service Management Connections) enables control over the automated export of asset data from Flexera One to Jira Service Management, supporting multi-tenant JSM (Jira Service Management) environments. This solution provides:
- A new connector to export standardized assets
- A direct API integration between Flexera One and JSM
- An asset data model aligned with Flexera best practices, including categories, subcategories, relationships, and metadata The customers get a configuration management database in JSM that mirrors the normalized view of the IT assets found in Flexera. This allows customers to improve operational efficiency and reduce data inconsistency, ensuring they operate with accurate, normalized, and complete configuration information.

New support for SQL Server edition discovery
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
IT Visibility with Technology Intelligence Platform now supports the discovery of Microsoft SQL Server editions. Specific edition information (such as Enterprise, Standard, Developer, etc.) are discovered and displayed in reports and APIs, giving you deeper insight into your SQL Server estate.
This enhancement covers the following major SQL Server services:
- SQL Server Database Engine
- SQL Server Analysis Services
- SQL Server Reporting Services
Currently, edition discovery of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is not supported. Therefore, edition information of SSIS will not appear in reports.
New support for AWS as an out-of-the-box data source (Beta Release)
This feature is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform as a beta feature. It may contain known bugs or incomplete functionality. We’re actively working to improve it, and your feedback is welcome. For questions or to report issues, contact Flexera Support.
IT Visibility with Technology Intelligence Platform now supports collecting inventory directly from AWS as an out-of-the-box data source. You can simply create an AWS connection on the External Inventory Connections page (Data Collection > Common Inventory Tasks > External Inventory Connections), sign in to your AWS account, and launch the provided CloudFormation stack.

Nutanix inventory ingestion into Technology Intelligence Platform
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
IT Visibility with Technology Intelligence Platform now supports ingestion and normalization of Nutanix inventory collected in IT Asset Management. Users who have access to IT Asset Management can now bring their Nutanix data into IT Visibility for reporting and analytics.
This enhancement ensures seamless integration of Nutanix data, providing a unified view of your virtual infrastructure within Flexera One.

Segmented Button for Lifecycle Dates in Software Reports
Dynamic Segmented Button
Allows users to toggle between two lifecycle date views:
- Researched Lifecycle Dates - Factual, validated data points, and manufacturer provided.
- Researched + Calculated Dates - Includes researched dates with calculated extensions, predicted for missing, or incomplete values.
Report-Wide Updates
All visuals, tables, and KPIs are dynamically update based on the selected option.
Default state clearly defined (Researched + Calculated dates view).
Fields Enhancements
Software Lifecycle Tables now reflect with End Of Life Date Calculated, End Of Life Date Researched, and End Of Life Date Researched Calculated fields, similarly for General Availability and Obsolescence.
Details page has new column added to highlight whether the value is from Researched or Researched + Calculated dates.
Customer Action - Update to New Fields
- The previously used field Calculated Support Lifecycle Stage Name (which combined researched and calculated values) has been deprecated and hidden from further use.
- Customers are advised to update any cloned/custom reports to leverage the new fields, which now clearly separate researched and combined lifecycle dates.
- Hiding this field will not break existing cloned reports, but we strongly recommend updating the reports to align with the new reporting structure and ensure clarity of use.

Software Evidence has new Installer Evidence, File Evidence, and OS Evidence tabs
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility.
A new tab section, with separate tabs for Installer Evidence, File Evidence and OS Evidence, has been added to the IT Visibility Software Evidence page (Applications & Evidence > IT Visibility Software > Software Evidence).
The Installer Evidence tab is the default view that displays the evidence count split into All, Active, Irrelevant, and Unrecognized evidences.
The File Evidence tab displays the evidence count split into All and Active (Technopedia Mapped) evidences.
The OS Evidence tab displays the evidence count split into All, Active (Technopedia Mapped), and Unrecognized evidences.
By providing a more detailed view of the software inventory and filtering of the evidence data, these tabs allow the customers to have improved control over their software evidence.

Virtualization Technology Detection
Now you can view and filter the Virtualization Technology used across scanned virtual machines.
This identifies the types of Virtualization Technology in use- VMware, Hyper-V, Zone, and NutanixVM.
This feature empowers IT teams to gain deeper visibility into their virtual environments and make more informed decisions for optimization and management.
