AI-based detection of cost anomalies
This feature is available with Cloud Cost Optimization and is available only to customers who have the AI-based capability enabled. If you would like the AI-based capability enabled, contact Flexera Support. For more information, see Contacting Flexera Support.
Cloud Cost Optimization now offers an automated, efficient, and accurate method of detecting cost anomalies in real time, enabling you to promptly investigate and address cost overruns. This feature helps you efficiently and accurately identify anomalies in cloud spend, significantly reducing the number of false-positive alerts reported by users.
Additionally, anomalies are detected using the Bollinger Bands method.
For more information, see How Cost Anomalies are Detected.
Azure MCA CSP now supports Cost Management API ingestion with scoped access
This feature is available with Cloud Cost Optimization. If you would like this feature enabled, contact Flexera Support. For more information, see Contacting Flexera Support.
Flexera One is migrating to new Azure Cost Management APIs to provide Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs) with the latest billing details for cost analysis. Using these APIs, Azure CSP Modern Commerce Agreement (MCA) cost and usage details are imported into Flexera One. These APIs will also enable visibility of Reserved Instances and Savings Plans. Your account manager will work with you to migrate to the Azure Cost Management APIs to maintain your Azure cost reporting in Flexera One and ensure a seamless transition.
With this migration, scoped exports for Azure MCA Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) bill connects are now available.
When creating a bill connect, you now have two options:
-
Cost Management API
-
Exports
- The Exports method enables faster and more scalable data processing by using export-based ingestion rather than report-based ingestion.
Scoping is supported for both the Azure Cost Management API and Exports methods. CSPs can now create bill connects at various levels of granularity:
-
Billing Account
-
Billing Profile
-
Customer Tenant
This functionality allows you to ingest cost and usage data only for the tenants or profiles you need, rather than all tenants under a billing account, providing more control and efficiency.
For more information, see Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Partner - Azure MCA (New) in the Flexera One Help.
Enhanced rule-based dimensions UI
This enhancement is available with Cloud Cost Optimization
Rule-Based Dimensions are flexible, user-defined dimensions that allow you to categorize your organization’s cost data into groups that fit your business needs. You can manage Rule-Based Dimensions using either the Rule-Based Dimensions page (Administration > Cloud Settings > Rule-Based Dimensions) in the UI or the Rule-Based Dimensions API.
The following enhancements have been made to the Rule-Based Dimensions page:
-
Nested expressions: You can now create, view, and edit rules with nested expressions directly on the Rule-Based Dimensions page. This enhancement allows for more complex and detailed rule configurations, which were previously limited to the API.
-
Case-insensitive rules: You can now create rules where the value is case-insensitive. This feature reduces the number of rules you need to create, simplifying rule management and improving efficiency.
-
Substring match support: We have added contains and does not contain operators that let you match rules based on substrings — great for checking if a value includes part of a word.
For more information, see Working With Rule-Based Dimensions.

IT Asset Management
IT Asset Management released the following features and enhancements in June 2025.
Accessibility improvements
This enhancement is available with IT Asset Management.
Accessibility has been further enhanced across IT Asset Management, with the following visible and behind-the-scenes changes to the browser-based user interface:
-
More Consistent Navigation Concept —Tab navigation within property forms has been relocated to the left side of the screen, enabling quicker access, particularly for keyboard users. Additionally, throughout most of the application, key navigation elements such as tabs and buttons remain fixed during scrolling, ensuring continuous access on longer pages.
-
Enhanced Keyboard Usability —The application can now be operated more efficiently using only the keyboard. Focus behavior for input fields and buttons has been optimized to support seamless navigation without a mouse.
-
WCAG-Compliant Contrast —The color scheme has been adjusted to meet WCAG standards for contrast, improving readability and accessibility for all users.
-
Improved Screen Reader Support —Support for screen readers has been significantly expanded. Labels and markup have been revised to provide clearer context, and sensory language has been replaced with more accessible text. Additionally, the roles of control elements have been refined to enhance navigation via keyboard and screen readers.
Business Importer extension: Support for Expiry Date and Comments fields for the Software License Key object
This enhancement is available with IT Asset Management.
The FlexNet Business Importer Data Model has been enhanced with two new optional fields for the Software License Key object:
-
Expiry Date —This optional field captures the expiration date of a Software License Key. It accepts standard date format inputs and functions the same as other date fields in the system. This field is not mandatory and does not map to any external field.
-
Comments —This is an optional free-text field (type: varchar, maximum length: 10,000 characters) that allows users to add descriptive comments related to the license key. Like the Expiry Date field, it is not required and does not map to any external field.
This update to the Business Importer enables customers to automatically populate the Expiry Date and Comments fields during data import into IT Asset Management, eliminating the need for manual data entry in the IT Asset Management UI.
For more information on the Software License Key Object and other available objects, see The Software License Key Object in the Using FlexNet Business Adapters documentation.
For information on how to create and edit business adapters, see The Business Adapter Studio in the Using FlexNet Business Adapters documentation.
CSV import enhancements
This enhancement is available with IT Asset Management.
Previously, CSV imports into IT Asset Management only supported a single column labeled LicenseKeyValue, which was used to import license keys.
Two additional optional columns can now be included in the CSV file: ExpiryDate and Comments. These are not mandatory, you can choose to omit them if not needed.
When including ExpiryDate and Comments, your CSV file should follow this structure:
LicenseKeyValue, ExpiryDate, Comments
key123, 01/11/2025, floating
key456, 04/25/2025, activation
key789, 05/27/2025, token
IT Asset Management will attempt to determine the appropriate regional date format based on all of the dates provided in the CSV file. The detection follows these rules and parsing logic. If none of the above conditions are met after examining all dates, IT Asset Management will default to using the date format specified by the server’s locale settings.
-
German date formats—If any date matches a German format using a dot separator (for example, dd.MM.yyyy, d.MM.yyyy, and so on), IT Asset Management will immediately assume all dates in the file follow this format and stop further evaluation.
-
Japanese / ISO-8601 / RFC-3339 formats—If a date matches formats such as yyyy/MM/dd or yyyy/MM/d, IT Asset Management will assume this format for all dates in the file and stop further checks.
-
Disambiguation between US and EU formats—If a date is valid in one format (for example, US MM/dd/yyyy) but not valid in the other (for example, EU dd/MM/yyyy), IT Asset Management will adopt the format in which the date is valid and cease further analysis.
The Comments column can contain only single-line text. Multi-line comments are not supported; each entry must be contained in a single line.
Enhanced API access to out-of-the-box reports
This enhancement is available with IT Asset Management.
You can now access Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) reports directly through the Reports API.
Previously, the API only supported custom reports created with the Report Builder, limiting access to key insights available in standard reports.
This enhancement removes that barrier, enabling access to a broader range of high value reports, including vendor specific and optimization focused reports.
Key benefits of this update include:
-
Deeper insights from IT Asset Management without the need to manually build reports
-
Automated reporting workflows using pre-built, standardized reports
-
Improved optimization and compliance through easier access to vendor specific data.
You can also pass parameters to filter and customize report outputs before execution.
For more details, refer to the IT Asset Management Data API documentation.
IT Visibility
IT Visibility released the following features and enhancements in June 2025.
Detailed timestamps and user information now available for contextual data
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
On the Contextual Data Mashup page (IT Visibility > Contextual Data Mashup), you can now view who created or last updated a dataset along with the exact data and time these actions were performed.
-
Created at —The timestamp when the dataset was created.
-
Created by —The user who created the dataset.
-
Updated by —The user who last updated the dataset.
This enhancement makes it easier to trace, verify, and audit dataset-related events while strengthening collaboration and making users accountable for the contextual data being uploaded.
Previously, it was difficult to track the origin of a dataset in case of any issues and to maintain governance and compliance standards.
For more information, see Viewing Contextual Data in the Flexera One Help.
New file upload status added for contextual data
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
The Contextual Data Mashup feature enables you to create unique insight reports by combining your normalized inventory data and the Technopedia catalog data with your custom business context data. On the Contextual Data Mashup page (IT Visibility > Contextual Data Mashup), you can upload your business context data as a comma-separated value (CSV) file. Once the CSV data processing is complete, you can begin working with these new attributes in Power BI.
Previously, if a file was only partially uploaded, the system displayed the status as Failed, which did not accurately reflect the upload status. To address this issue, a new file status Uploaded with errors has been introduced. This status appears when at least one row of contextual data from the CSV file has been uploaded successfully, helping users identify which rows were not uploaded correctly by reviewing the error logs.
With this enhancement, you receive a more accurate file status, helping you resolve any issues during data uploads:
-
Uploaded with errors —At least one row of contextual data was uploaded successfully.
-
Failed —All rows of contextual data have failed to upload.
For more information, see Upload File Statuses in the Flexera One Help.
Schema preview now available for contextual data
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
On the Contextual Data Mashup page (IT Visibility > Contextual Data Mashup), when you click the dataset name, you can now view the name and datatype of each column, indicating whether it is of the type Reference or Attribute.
Previously, the schema information was not available until you uploaded the CSV file. If any conflicts were detected between the CSV file and the existing dataset, the CSV file had to be corrected and re-uploaded. This process was often cumbersome and time consuming.
This enhancement improves efficiency and saves time by enabling you to view the schema information, thereby reducing errors during the upload process.
For more information, see Viewing Contextual Data in the Flexera One Help.
Reports can now be exported into PDF and PPT files
This feature is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
You can now export both out-of-the-box and custom Technology Intelligence Platform reports into PDF or PPT files. This new feature simplifies the process of using report contents for business reviews, presentations, archiving, and more.
For more information, see Exporting a Technology Intelligence Platform Report in the Flexera One help.
Add slicers to create custom dropdown filters for customized business reports
This enhancement is available with IT Visibility With Technology Intelligence Platform.
You can add a slicer to the pane to create custom dropdown filters. This helps to generate reports to meet specific business requirements. This enhancement makes it easier to create new dropdown filters.
For more information, see Adding a Slicer in the Flexera One Help.
Partner Service Layer
Partner Service Layer released the following feature and enhancement in June 2025.
Entitlements expiration details available from Customers Overview and Customer Details
This enhancement is available with Partner Service Layer.
The Customers Overview page and Customer Details tab have been enhanced with the addition of the expiration details of each customers’ entitlements. The expiration details of entitlements consist of the expiration dates and expiration status for each capability that a customer has.
The addition of the expiration information enables all partners to easily keep up-to-date with the status of their customers’ Flexera entitlements, and allows them to proactively address upcoming renewals and negotiations.
For more information, see Viewing Entitlements Details in the Flexera One Help.
