View your potential savings

If you're a new customer and have connected an AWS management account to Cloud Commitment Management, you can view your potential savings in the dashboard.

It can take up to 48 hours for your data to show. Once the account usage and billing reports are completely analyzed, Cloud Commitment Management will display your current reserved instance utilization:

  1. Go to the Commitment Management page (Cloud > Commitment Management).
  2. Select Dashboard > Savings Estimates.
  3. In the Billing Account ID, select the presale account.

In the dashboard, you can see the:

  • Potential yearly savings: The yearly amount that could be saved by using the reserved instance recommendations.
  • All time waste: Amount wasted on unused reserved instances.
  • Last week missed savings: The amount you could have saved with a cost-optimized workload.
  • Reserved instance all time waste: A chart that shows a monthly view of wasted, amortized RI investments, stacked by service.
  • Potential yearly savings by AWS service: A chart that shows the yearly savings that can be achieved with reserved instances per AWS service.
  • Savings plan waste: A chart that shows a monthly view of wasted ongoing savings plan investments, stacked by service.
