Creating SBOM Parts Manually

The easiest and most common method for adding SBOM parts to a bucket is to import the parts from a supported data file, as described in Importing SBOM Parts Into a Bucket.

After you have imported the parts, you can then add missing SBOM parts by creating them manually, thereby refining your SBOM. SBOM Management offers two methods for creating a part manually—using a component lookup or providing freeform input. The following sections provide information to help you create SBOM parts:
